MUSIC OF LIFE

A Brief History...

In 1986, Simon Harris co-founded Music of Life with the help of Morgan Khan, starting a journey that would redefine rap music in the UK.

After establishing himself as a DJ, Simon ventured into professional DJing in 1980, forming partnerships and promoting special evenings in local nightclubs.

His collaboration with top club DJ Froggy led to special remixes of hit records broadcast on radio, setting the stage for their own record label.

Music of Life became synonymous with rap music, boasting collaborations with British talents like Demon Boyz and MC Duke. Simon's hit single "Bass (How Low Can You Go?)" in 1988 propelled him to pop stardom, solidifying his place in the industry.

Throughout the 1990s, Music of Life thrived, securing deals with established artists and producing hit singles, including "Supermarioland" in 1992.
